Her Ash Wednesday reflection reminds us in familiar fashion that we are dust. Lent begins on with this service on Wednesday, February 17th, and the book Where the Eye Alights by Marilyn Chandler McEntyre has inspired the focus of our worship.

There will be a brief 20-minute service at noon in the chapel. Imposition of ashes will be available in the VUH Chapel (rear entrance in hallway by the ED side entrance, due to lobby renovation) during the following times: 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. If a staff member, pediatric patient, or caregiver is unable to come to the chapel, please page the pediatric chaplain on-call at 835-1012 to have ashes brought to the floor or bedside.
